June 30 – July 28, 2019
This unique academic summer program is open to college students and graduates from the United States, Europe, and all over the world.
A partnership between Oranim College, StandWithUs, CAMERA, and the Hillel Council of New England, the Leadership Project offers students the opportunity to experience the real Israel in all its complexity and nuance, while studying the area’s history, geography, and demography. Curricular units will include an in-depth look from multiple perspectives into critical issues in Israeli society. Academic credit is available for the courses at Oranim College. The Galilee location presents many occasions to interact with people of diverse backgrounds who make up Israeli society, including Jews, Arabs, Christians, Muslims, Druze, and Bedouins. Students will gain the knowledge and practical skills necessary to present Israel in a personal, positive, and realistic light and to speak up if and when faced with anti-Semitism. Numerous field study trips, excursions, and volunteer experiences in different parts of the country provide students with a first-rate tourist experience, connections to potential future internships, and a close-up look at some of the remarkable individuals and endeavors that hold the secret to Israel’s creativity, survival, and resilience.
