ERASMUS + Capacity Building
Oranim College has participated or is currently participating in the following Erasmus+ capacity building projects:
1. TeachEx: Teaching Excellence in Israel
Higher education institutions in Israel and Europe joined together to develop TEACHEX, a project to promote teaching excellence in higher education institutions in Israel, and, as a result, improve student learning in these institutions. The project established new centers for teacher training (Centers for Teaching Excellence – CTEs) in higher education institutions and improved existing centers. These centers provide ongoing professional development for academic faculty. The project also developed courses and professional development programs for innovative and inclusive teaching.

To learn more about TeachEx, see the TeachEx website.
2. SILICE: Social Innovation for Local Indian and Israeli Communities and Graduate Entrepreneurs
This project is a partnership between institutions of higher education in Israel, Europe, and India. The aim of the project is to promote a culture of innovation and social entrepreneurship in Israel and India, with the support of our European partners. The project will establish Centers for Social Innovation that will give students and workers tools for initiating, planning, and implementing innovative and creative social business projects.
3. ARTIST: Action Research to Innovate Science Teaching and Career Orientation
Higher education institutions in Israel and Europe developed a partnership in order to improve science teaching through promoting action research facilitated by science teachers in their classrooms. The project aims to create sustainable change through research, reflection, and improvement of teaching. Each project has a designated teacher/coordinator, participant, and advisor. Science teachers assess, research, and implement changes in teaching practice, under the supervision of researchers in the field of teaching science. Reflection on these changes will lead to deeper and broader change.
