WHAT DO OUR STUDENTS SAY?

The New Immigrants English Teaching Certificate program at Oranim has given me essential, cutting-edge knowledge and upgraded my skills to become an aspiring educator in the 21st century. With each subject seamlessly contributing toward one vision, the program incorporated multiple domains from technology, pedagogy, rhetoric to psychology, and social mechanisms in Israeli Education. The faculty skillfully utilized an online program to facilitate independent projects and practical application of knowledge. I gained valuable intercultural experience and learned much from my diverse classmates. Today, I feel confident to enter the education sector and I am proud to become an educator.

The Galilee Dreamers program for me is a dream come true. I see young students from various schools talk and do activities together, without paying attention to the fact that we are from different backgrounds. I believe it is a new experience for both sides (Jewish and Arab), to have freedom of expression without limitations, and to learn about each other without focusing on individual differences in beliefs. When I see that Arab and Jews are learning together while having fun, I am overwhelmed with happiness. This is the future that I believe in, to break all the stereotypes, stigma, and borders to be able to look and listen to each other with love and understanding.

Yasmine Mattar Kattoura, Galilee Dreamer, Israel

It was a pleasure to successfully complete the MASA English for the Workplace Program. Through this program I was able to improve my English reading, listening, writing, speaking skills. I learned business vocabulary as well as how to manage my career. The lessons were not only theoretical, but rather intertwined with real, practical case studies. It was also amazing to travel with my class to visit cities like Haifa, Tel Aviv, and Jerusalem to learn about life in Israel. Next, I will continue my English studies in the MASA A.T.I. (AMIR, TOEFL, IELTS) Program at Oranim.
