The programs of the Dept. of JP focus on educational training, institutional change, and leadership development within a Jewish community, and bridging communities one with another in Israel and throughout the world. The Central Welfare Board of Jews in Germany (ZWST) represents Jewish regional organizations and Jewish communities. It constitutes the central organization for the network of Jewish welfare in Germany as well as a provider of informal educational services. ZWST’s mission is to provide a comprehensive and effective organization of Jewish non-statutory welfare work in Germany. It is responsible for safeguarding general and specific Jewish interests through legislative and administrative procedures within the range of social welfare service. The contribution of the ZWST to the integration of the immigrants is effected by basic research in the form of information, practical assistance and basic- and advanced training opportunities.
